Since I just joined yesterday I will forgive myself for waiting almost a week to write about Tim Burton's new movie Alice in Wonderland. Now I don't know about you but I waited 6 YEARS for this movie. Let me explain, when I was a sophomore I believe in High School me and a friend were talking about our favorite Tim Burton movies. At the time it was hands down The Nightmare Before Christmas. Now Jack Skellington and Crew will always have a spot in my heart but Tim has grown as a director/producer since then. Ed wood, Sleepy Hallow, Planet of the Apes, Big Fish, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street! The list goes on and on. Yet as me and my friend were talking we started listing movies we thought Tim should remake.

Naturally Alice in Wonderland was top of that list. It was in our mind the perfect marriage. An amazing plot and the workings of Tim's mind. The movie was sure to make gold. Well after awhile the thought got pushed to the back of our minds. Then about a year or more ago I was on imdb.com searching for something and I made it onto Tim's page and what did I find there?

 ALICE IN WONDERLAND!!!!

I died right then and there. No lie. I was so excited for it my heart exploded. Well my poor family, they have been hearing about this movie since I found out about it. I think my mother wanted to strangle me or something. She doesn't like the story.. whatever I can forgive her. But my sister, she cut me deep.. Last summer I found the Mad Hatter Poster on the Boardwalk. How they got it is beyond me but I was able to buy the poster way before it hit regular stores. Since we share a room she kinda has a say on what I can put up and vice versa. Well Johnny Depp's make-up freaks her out. So where is my poster still in the plastic in my basement. :(

Oh well.. I want a poster frame for it anyway. Now onto the Movie. Let me first say the movie was brilliant. Totally epic. The story line was done extremly well and fits with the original script. All of the actors were on mark and not one didn't fit. The actaul picture was spectacular. Tim Burton's vision of Wonderland was everything and more then I had hoped for. I don't think a movie is going to take it's number one spot in my heart for awhile. Well done Mr. Burton.. Well Done.
